Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been plagued with IBS-D for at least 30 years. I am now 74 and still active thank primarily to couple of good doctors and the discovery of Lotronex! Took Lotronex 20+yrs. and the difference has been amazing. Last March when went to get my presc. it was around $700. so I could not take it. Been scrambling a bit since and hoarding a few pills for very special outings. Anyway my present Gastroentologist encouraged me to try taking 3-4 daily of Lomotil which seems to be working pretty well. After going off Lotronex found my symtoms were greatly improved from years ago. Possibly because my life is much less stressful. Just bought IBGard for the first time and wondering if there are drugs that will not interact well. I take Lisinopril as well as Lomotil, B &D vits. and have a low dos e of Alprozolam .25 as a back-up if my life gets too crazy. Thankfully almost never need it and 30 pill last 6mths. to a year most times. thank you for any advice you may have, Wendy
