How Can Itching And Swelling On The Face Be Treated?

Hello. So I used the La Roche-Possay Effaclar Duo one time. I used it beforeI went to bed one night, I applied the product only where I had acne. The next morning I woke up with parts of my skin swollen and itchy where I had applied the product. Is there a medication that I can use to cure the swollen and redness of my face?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your worries.

Have you been allergic to any of your cosmetics before? I guess the product that you have mentioned contain various chemicals which is allergic to you.

I suggest you to discontinue the cream and take tablet Cetirizen (twice daily) and in addition with it, you can apply aloevera gel on your face.

Maintain good hygiene, wash your face periodically with warm water. If symptoms so not subside, consult a Dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini
