How Can Itching In The Ears Be Treated?

i have been having some trouble with my ears. started with itching and after treating with ear drops i had an ear infection that ended with me feelinglike i was underwater. i then had a stroke which i m not sure is unrelated or not. i still had trouble hearing out of my left ear but aft a few weeks it seemed that as my left ear improved my right ear worsened. my primary care saw my right after i was discharged and he said there was build up but its bee six weeks now. the ear nose and throat doc said something about havng something like excema in my ear canals. anyway i ve gone from itching in both ears to excess build up in first the left then right, then now i have these little bumps blister-like just inside my ear, the opening and around the ear and behind the ear? is this some kind of skin issue or infection?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching in ears which can be caused by
-ear canal dermatitis
-otitis media
-ear infection
-increase blood pressure.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to put ofloxacin ear drops to lubricate ear canal and consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order certain test like audiometry, MRI to rule out conditions like hearing loss, earwax buildup. Take steam inhalation. Avoid excessive hard substance eating. Do valsalva maneuvers by pinching nose and blowing in and out. Avoid touching or pricking ear. You should take antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medicines.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
