Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...I am a black woman who is suffering from what I believe to be jock itch. My symptoms are VERY itchy, bumpy, rash areas on both sides of my inner thigh near my vagina that sometimes weep. When I scratch the area more bumps instantly appear. When I bathe in vinegar or bleach it subsides for a couple days then it s back again. What can I use to make this go away for good and return my skin back to it s normal color?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Vinegar and bleach may cause permanent discolorations of the skin, but the way to get rid of the infection is by using an antifungal cream like Lamisil, (Terbinafine). I hope you are feeling better soon and that the color returns to normal. I suggest stopping the vinegar and bleach.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kathy Robinson
