How Can Itching Sensation At The Site Of An Insect Bite Be Treated?

Hi, I went to an urgent care facility today. I was biten I think by a spider on Saturday. The area started itching and now a blister is on the top of my foot. The dr. told me that it would be better for it to burst on its own. It is big, clear, should I go ahead and burst it.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that along with allergic reaction to the toxin injected by the spider bite under the skin there is also an infection at the site of bite leading to a blister over the site of bite ..

I would suggest you to continue taking antibiotics but along with it you should also take anti-allergics like Allegra or Benadryl.
Clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply Triple Antibiotic ointment over it..
Do cool compresses and avoid scratching the area if there is itching..

In case if it still does not regress in site get it incised/lanced by a sterile needle or blade under expert advise..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
