Hello, I ve been having some problems with itchy feet. I work in a deli and every night I have to spray and mop the floors. My shoes have holes in them that allow water to get in. My socks and feet are soaked with water until I get home and change them. But this is usually a fairly short amount of time. Cleaning the floors is the last thing I do at night, so there s never been a time when my feet have been wet for more than an hour. However, I have dry, itchy patches next to my toes on both feet. Not in between my toes, like I ve seen with athlete s foot, and not very large patches either. What could this be?
It's likely to be allergic dermatitis, dry eczema, this is due to the exposure to the mopping agents which contains certain chemicals or eczema which can be like an autoimmune condition especially with people with dry skin, make sure you use proper shoes to avoid feet getting wet, also dry your feet properly when you go home, apply a normal petroleum jelly before sleeping and put up socks so that the moisture is trapped in and feet remains soft because dryness can lead to more itching.
