How Can Itchy Insect Bites On The Arms Be Treated?
Hello, my name is Ashlee. I think that I was bit by a bug on 9/3/17 or 9/4/17. The bite is on my left arm, close to my hand, but not on my wrist. The bite itself is about 3/10 of an inch in circumference. There is white-ish/yellow-ish puss that comes out of it. Around the bite, my skin is red and swollen. The red and swollen part is hard underneath my skin; like there is something under my skin that makes it swollen. The swollen has spread today like a straight line to my wrist; It is not red though. The line itches. I am wondering what kind of bug may have bit me. Does anyone know? Thanks!
It looks like there is Infection at the site of bug bite..
Pus discharge is commonly seen when there is Infection..
As you are not appearing to be taking any antibiotic management therefore the Infection seems to be spreading..
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Advil.. Clean the area with betadine solution and apply antiseptic ointment over it..
