How Can Itchy Rashes On The Body After Taking Septra Be Treated?
I have been prescribed an antibiotic, generic for Septra, and have developed hives and itching. I took an antihistamine as per the info on the WEBMD sight. No other systoms or any severe systoms have started. I have been taking 800 mg every 12 hours, beginning last Saturday. Should I go to the ER?
You may be developed hypersensitivity to a section of tablets stop using it. Use tablet chlorpheniramine twice a day for five days. If symptoms are not improved get emergency medical help. If you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat then consult your physician immediately.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
