Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I HAVE HAD A UTI RECENTLY AND WAS TREATED WITH ANTIBIOTICS SUCCESSFULLY. HOWEVER, ON THREE OCCASIONS, WHILE MY UNINE IS VERY LIGHT AND CLEAR I HAVE FOUND WHAT APPEARS TO BE KIDNEY STONES. EACH TIME ASSOCIATED WITH PAIN FROM THE URETHRA AND SPASMS. SHOULD I DO ANYTHING AT THIS TIME?
Diagnosis of kidney stones is best accomplished using an ultrasound, intravenous pyelography (IVP), or a CT scan.
Most kidney stones will pass through the ureter to the bladder on their own with time. You should drink plenty of water. Most of the tiny stones are flushed out.
It is better to consult a nephrologist for the exact diagnosis whether you have kidney stones.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
