How Can Kidney Stones Be Removed?

Please help i am in trouble. I got appendix laproscopic surgery 5/6 month ago. At same time while having video x-ray it was found that there s kidney stones. Two stones at both kidney. 7.8 at right and 4.5 at left and after 1 month of surgery i got minor pain in my right side. I didn t went to hospital. But after some weeks i got hard pain again it was very hard, i went to hospital and pain was managed and went for video xray. In report it was shown 7.2 mm stone has gone down from kidney, it was on pipe. I was given some tablets for stone. After one month, i got hard pain. I went again and same. Painkiller, video xray. But this time, stone was of 5.2mm and was at very low area. But now, last week i got minor pain at left, i could handle it. After 2 days of it i got again attack at 3:30 AM morning and i went hospital. So in my view, both stones came at same lower area. Is it bad for me? And i dont wanna be hospitalize coz my final exam is approching near. Please, reply as fast as possible. Thanks

Hi,

Sorry to hear of your pain. Kidney stones are common. The treatment depends on the size of the stones luckily stones less than 7 mm usually pass itself. Yes, passing a stone may cause pain. So that's not a worrisome thing.

You should take a lot of fluid to pass about 3 to 4 liters of urine, there are some drugs as well that may help to pass of stones. You can ask your doctor about that. If you have pain you can use painkillers like Ibuprofen and Hyoscine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
