Hello,

I need more information about your condition.
1. What is the size and exact location of the stone?
2. When was the shock wave treatment given?
3. Did shock wave treatment make any difference in the size of the stone?

Treatment of kidney stones could be really challenging and I understand your frustration. But if you follow these following simple measures, it may facilitate your recovery.

1. Drink plenty of water. This is very important. You have to drink minimum of 3 liters of water per day.
2. Avoid eating sweet potato, beet, soy products, chocolates, nuts.

And if your stone is resistant to shock wave treatment, the next best option would be to undergo surgery (percutaneous nephrolithotomy). I would recommend you to consult a urologist regarding the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bright Jebaraj S
