How Can Kidney Stones Be Treated?

Hi, Ct scan showed I have 5mm kidney stone for nearly 2 weeks, was prescribed tamosulin, antibiotics and pain meds. What are the chances of passing this naturally without further intervention. Iv also been taking quite a lot of water, lemon juice & cider vinegar. Im not in much pain anymore. Any advice would be appreciated

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The kidney stone you have is only 5mm. You are not in much discomfort. Please take about 3 liters of fluids every day, and in soon, the stone should pass down the ureter and out of the urethra. Please only take pain medication if required. There may not be the need to take any antibiotics. You may repeat the CT Scan or an abdominal ultrasound after 3 to 4 weeks to see the status of the stone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
