Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain on the inside of my right knee especially when going to sit down. It was fine this morning even after an eliptical workout and some light work but came on suddenly about miday. I have it wrapped with an ace bandage and am iceing every hour or so for 20 min.
Its possible that you have over stretched the ligament of the inside of the knee during the workout. This low-grade sprain is causing you pain when you sit down.
The ace bandage and ice treatment are fine for the initial treatment. Once the pain subsides can start knee exercises to bend and stretch the knee and hopefully resume the workouts.
Can also take mild pain medications to relieve pain so you can move around freely.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr George Verghese, Orthopaedic Surgeon
