Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m having some knee pain. Worse when I m sitting than when I m walking on it. Seems to be on the outside of the knee but seems to radiate around the knee as the day goes on. Have been walking 2-3 miles a day for 2-3 times the last year and aerobics 2 x a week. Just not sure what s going on. At night it can thump a bit YYYY@YYYY
The way you have described it appears that you have, what we call anterior knee pain (previously called chondromalacia patellae). You should get X-rays done to assess the condition.
The treatment is initially only Pain killers and exercises. Later it can be controlled with exercises.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel
