How Can Liver Cirrhosis Be Treated?

my father (age42). he had liver cirrhosis. docter advised band ligation of the varius to decrease the risk of bleeding. the first banding was done on 20.02.2017. after he had some digetion problem & some body stress issues. doctor said any time happen. he did not say any exact treatment. thats why he need any another band or traetment and he how many days leave in the world.

Hi,

Banding will not cure liver cirrhosis. It is done to prevent further bleeding associated with cirrhosis.

You can consult your gastroenterologist and do frequent follow up.

If the liver function is so much deteriorated, liver transplantation may be the only option left.
