Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with atrial flutter on the left side. I have very low blood pressure, and the beta blocker Altenolol, 25 mg. causes my blood pressure to go down to 80/50. I have a call in to my cardiologist about cutting the pill in half. Is there a period of adjustment to this medication What can I expect? and thank you
Yes, different patients respond differently to different medications. Everybody needs to be dose adjusted. Therefore, wait for sometime and we can figure out which dose you will adjust to.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
