Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had been taking Trazadone 50 mg as a sleep aide for the past 7-8 years. Lately, I realized that my heart rate is quite low: between 43-53, depending on the days. I am 52 years old now and feel tired easily. Is there any treatment for low heart rate? I stopped the medication for 2 weeks already but the heart rate still remains low. I start more exercise: running about 1.5-2 km, and biking for 3 km every day. Are there any other ways to bring up my heart rate?

trazodone decreases hr true, but even after 2 weeks of stopping trazodone, your hr is low cannot be due to trazodone.so u must get an ecg first to look for any other causes like heart blocks which may be the culprit.
