Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
After having teeth extracted on the bottom n I have upper dentures for over thirty years I had my lower denture made and now can't wear either of them , plus I have pain sensation when I touch my nose and along my jaw on the right side and in the upper jaw bone all the time
There is a possibility that the vertical height of your dentures is not appropriate leading to excessive pressure and the cause for pain sensation.. Pain in jawbone can be due to excessive pressure over the tissues and underlying bone that can be due to improper height adjustment of denture.. You should consult a Prosthodontist and get evaluated so that he can do a clinical examination of your dentures as well as measure the height of denture.. If there is some problem then the best way to get rid of it is to get a new denture fabricated for both upper and lower set of teeth and start wearing once you get rid of pain completely..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
