How Can Lungs/pleuras Space In An X-ray Report Be Interpreted?

Husband is to have ct scan after xray report for Lungs/Pleuras space: There appears to be some mild right middle lobe linear atelectasis vs fibrotic change, 2 small densities in the upper left lobe may be related to ribs but correlation with the ct scan is suggested to exclude nodules. Bony thorax: No acute osseous abnormality. What does that mean in layman s terms? He recently damaged his rotar cuff.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Go with the CT chest with contrast if urea and creatinine is normal. Chest xray is not that bad. But a CT scan will be beneficial to get the details.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Rana Ahsan Javed, General & Family Physician
