Hello, my husband (37yo firefighter) had a resting blood pressure of 180/100 before he was started on BP meds. From what I am told his BP is now under control. For the past 18 months he has been having "episodes" of lightheaded/dizzy/blurred vision/vomitting/cold, clammy skin/trouble focusing, speaking/headache/and sweating. He claims there is no chest pain with these episodes. They average about once a month and almost always occur in the early morning, shortly after waking up; often within 24hours of a shift at the firestation. Could they be malignant hypertension?
