How Can Memory Loss Be Treated?

Thank you. I just started Namenda (generic) and Aricept yesterday. 5 mg of Namenda. I m 71 and my doctor told me it might help memory loss. I m a working book editor. Anyway, today, I had an emotional break down, crying, depressed, feeling the deep loss of my husband 15 years ago. Kind of freaked out. I m a very together and upbeat person. Almost annoyingly so. Is there any connection? thank you, Susan Brown

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No, these drugs have nothing to do with your current symptoms.
By your history and description, I think you are also suffering from depression and anxiety.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic and anti depressant drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
