How Can Migraines Be Treated?

I have suffered from migraines for many many years (diagnosed). I have taken fioricet to alleviate the pain when it occurs. My insurance plan now is barely covering the medication and I need an alternate med that may do the job and that my insurance may cover. What medication or medications would you recommend to treat migraine pain?
