How Can Morning Sickness During Pregnancy Be Treated?
himy daughter is 3 months pregnant 3 weeks ago she was put on a different thyroid medicine she has had alot of morning sickness anf has been horse and feeling dehydrated Is this a side effect from the meds or from throwing up alot reflux etc should she call a regular doctor baby doctor or her thyroid doctor ? Not sure what to do!
No morning sickness happens during pregnancy and sometimes it can be very severe. So, kindly ask her to take any anti-emetic until symptoms get controlled.
Anti-emetic drugs like Ondansetron, Domperidone are found out safe during pregnancy. You can even consult your OBG doctor before taking the medicine.
Ask her to use ORS, or she can even make one and drink at home. Water with adequate salt, and sugar can be mixed and drink to prevent dehydration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
