How Can Mosquito Bites On The Face And Legs Of A Child Be Treated?
Hi sir.. i hv a 2.6yrs old son..today i sent school on short..i noticed mosquitoe bites on hos both legs below knew but at the back side..they are in red color with a bump and another bite on his face right above the cheek..plz help me out..do i need to visit doctor..
Most of the time, there is nothing to worry about mosquito bites and they are not commonly a reason to see a doctor. Your child will need to have a visit only if the redness around the bite area gets bigger than 2 cm. In this case, infection needs to be ruled out.
It is important to prevent mosquito bites with repellants and also a curtain around the bed and window protectors against mosquito so that he is not so exposed to them. Local cold packs may help reduce the itchiness. Rarely a hydrocortisone cream twice a day is needed, but please be cautious about using it on the face.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
