How Can Mouth Ulcers Be Treated?

My lips and the inside of my mouth have blisters that hurt and burn and around my lips are blistered and burn. I put moisturizer on them constantly, but they still hurt and burn and my tongue stays real coated. I use a tongue cleaner every day. What can I do to heal this?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of mouth ulcers inside mouth and lips which could be due to minor injury to mucosa due bite, acidic food, poor oral hygiene, hard food , and infection like thrush. It could be due to aphthous ulcer.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid spicy food and acidic drink.do warm saline rinses. You should drink plenty of fluids. Use antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine. Usually they resolve by themselves in few days. If the condition do not resolve in a week then consult dentist for proper examination and to rule out other conditions like canker sore. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics and numbing gel.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
