How Can Mucocele Be Treated?

Hello Doctor, Yesteday a doctor identified that I have mucocele in my lips. Inside part of the lip. Its growing and shrinking from past 2 months. Doctor says it has to be surgically removed. I am worried that if it comes again then again a surgery would be needed. Is there any other way apart from surgery?

hi... let me know site of mucocele.? normally mucocele occur in lower lip..as you are telling that it grows and shrink ,,,,it means it have partial blockage.mucocele occur due to totall or partial tube block so mucus is unable to flow in mouth and leads to retention of mucus in tube(retentention mucocele)..other is extravacestion mucocele.so frist have proper investigation of mucocele by dye test then if stone is small in size then by medicine and palpatory method it can be removed.. and if its big or reason is not stone then have surgical excison.....CONTACT ANY ORAL SURGEONE(DENTISTRY)
