Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have muscle fatigue in my legs... can walk in short sports but walking about a block makes upper thighs burn or ache & feel very tired...I have been diagnosed with Venus insufficiency & do have swelling in ankles. Is there a connection...I also have PVCS & my heart sometimes gets out of rhythm...I am 70 but have been very active until the last 3 years. My flexibility & energy seems to have both abandoned me. I also am on thyroid supplement. My Dr. just diagnosed me with high blood pressure & diabeties. I have also gained 30 lbs in the last 3 years. I am also hypoglycemic. I just want to feel as energetic as I did 3 yrs ago.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Venous insufficiency can cause pain or weakness in legs. Avoid excess standing. Use compressive stockings. Raise the legs by placing pillows. Venotonic drugs also helps. If these all not helping then you can think about surgical correction. Thanks.
