Hi i suffer from Musculoskeletal pain .. Was in a car accident 20 years ago and had pens and plates in my back. I have worked part time for Shoppers Food Warehouse standing all day .. My job as a Pharmacy Tech now needs me to work 8 hours a day and i have told them that i can not work 8 hours .Its to much on my back and i am in a lot of pain .. I was working 6 and half hours a day which is the most that i can do with my condition. NOt sure if you can help but what are my rights .. They said if i can not do the 8 hours then i can not work in the Pharmacy anymore .. Thanks for your help.. Do not want to lose my job as a Pharmacy tech.

I understand that you are having plates in your back. It is very unlikely that you are still having pain. It can be because of nerve compression which is very common post spine surgery.
I would suggest you to do physiotherapy to relieve back pain. I would also suggest you to consult your orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon for back problem.
