How Can My Baby Put On Weight?

my baby is 1month 15 days old..n she is 3.1kgs now her birth wght is 3 kgs ..due to jaundice [23'%] she was under phototherapy for 12 days n she lost 500 grms ...she is on mother feeding only but she drinkly only for 8-10 min n sleeps..Gas is developing it seems when gas comes out she is trying it hard n crying ...baby is using neopetine n vitazyme .n vitcofol ,liv52,adcal,visyneral medicines...please suggest something for my baby to put on wght ?n ussing these medicine does she have any complications ????

Hi..There is loss of weight with photo therapy due to loss of fluids. I think 8 to 10 minutes is a little less time for feeding. The child should feed for at least 15- 20 min from one side so that both fore milk and hind milk is received.Also feeding should be on demand as and when the baby cries for feed. The baby is taking multivitamins and the weight is also good. You just need to follow up the weight regularly and also be relaxed. Another option is adding MCT oil 5 drops alternate feeds.It increases the calorie intake.
