Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
His pain is mostly due to neuritic and neuropathic pain.
It is common in stroke patients. It is actually due to regeneration of nerves in paralyzed parts of body. It is positive sign for recovery.
His pain will improve with pregabalin or gabapentin.
Both are having excellent effect in neuritic pain.
Vitamin b 12, folic acid and pyridoxine supplements along with pregabalin are also beneficial.
So consult doctor and discuss about starting these drugs.
Don't worry, he will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your father. Thanks.
