How Can Nasal Blockage Be Treated?
my husband has had a cpap machine for quite a few years. He has developed a mucus plug in his nose that blocks his nose when he lies down in bed. Is there anything he can do to alleviate this distressing symptom of the cpap. He now only comes to bed when he is exhausted because he cant sleep with a blocked nose and use the cpap

CPAP machines may cause drying of the nasal passages and patients may experience nasal congestion due to this.
I would recommend him to do nasal lavage 2-3 times a day and especially before bedtime so his secretins are diluted and brought out.
Also, if there is any possibility of allergic rhinitis, he may use oral Loratadine 10 mg before bedtime.
