General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Cervical intervertebral disc injury also can give such symptoms. A physical examination by orthopedician will be helpful to rule out this. X ray followed by MRI of cervical spine will be helpful to confirm it. The symptoms are usually caused by nerve compression. You can also go for nerve conduction study. Muscle relaxants, NSAIDs, physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises will be helpful to recover from this.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
