How Can Nose Congestion Along With Sore Throat And Headache Be Treated?
Hi, my 4 year old daughter has a cold--stuffy nose, congestion, cough, sore throat and headache. No fever ( She has no appetite and isn t sleeping but is exhausted.
As per your query you have nose congestion along with sore throat and headache which could be due to strep throat , upper respiratory track infection , viral pharyngitis and acid reflux . Sometimes it is mainly due to excessive acid production. Drink plenty of warm water with one spoon honey and ginger extract. Take tepid sponging if it is severe headache. I would suggest you to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for headache and take benadryl twice a day . If symptoms doesn't get better in a days then consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may examine with laryngoscope , order thraot swab test and viral culture test . Doctor may refer you to gastroenterologist as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
