How Can Nose Congestion Be Treated?

I have sleep apnea and use a bi-pap machine. When I wake up in the mornings I almost always have a need to blow my nose to clear my breathing. The mucus is plentiful and always clear. I also have a cough for about the first 30 minutes I am awake. Frequently the cough chokes me until I can blow my nose to get rid of the mucus.

* As per my clinical experience, I suggest following to treat the nose congestion

- Regular basis deep breathing exercises, YOGA, walking in fresh air.
- Saline nasal drops to keep the mucus plugs clear.
- Avoid exposure to pollen.
- Balanced nutritious diet to combat the immunity level.
- Avoid smoking if any.
- An ENT evaluation to rule out underlying nasal polyps.
