How Can Nose Congestion Be Treated?
I take methotrexate for Ra. I have been sick with a head cold. I still have a stuffy nose with a lot of facial pressure. I have tried steam with no success. I have to breath through my mouth. It is very difficult to sleep. I take 20mg of Methotrexate once a week. I also take an Aleve every day. What can I take to help?

As per your query you have symptoms of nose congestion. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take anti inflammatory and anti allergic medications. Take decongestants and mucolytic agents. Avoid cold carbonated and cold beverages. Take diet rich in vitamin B12. You should take proper course of antibiotics. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get blood test and nasal swab test done. Start treatment after complete examination.

Here are some things you can do to help with sinusitis and a blocked nose.
1)Continue with the steam inhalation. You could use eucalyptus oil or Karvol to help
2) use an Oxymetazoline spray for 4-5 days. not more. You could use the spray upto 3 times a day.
3) If it persists and you are getting yellow-green phlegm as well, you could consult your local doctor for an antibiotic.
