Hello,

As your main complaint was numbness associated with red and bruised bump, the most probable cause might be infection or compression of nerves.

It can be diagnosed by symptoms itself. But it is generally confirmed by:
1. MRI scan
2. X-ray arms
3. Complete blood picture

Following treatment can be followed depending on investigations:
1. Pain relieving drugs is first line of treatment
2. Physiotherapy helps to some extent
3. Steroid injection in case of severe pain

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vamsi Krishna Chittimoju
