Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 70 years old and had a seizure about 6 months ago. I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Occipital Lobe epilepsy and problems in my next. (Aixial-Occipto... etc.). I was released with follow up appts. with Neuro. I really did not get any treatment and am now going to a different neuro the end of next week. The seizures are increasing with several Grand Mals a day. They are increasing in time and up to 7 minutes. Is there medication for this type of seizure. Surgery has been mentioned. I plan to try and get an appt. at John Hopkins early next year since I will be on the East Coast in that area for the holidays. Any information would be helpful.
