How Can One Detect If A Back Injury Is A Fracture?

Hi.
i year ago i fell off a horse as it reared up but it went over and landed on me. I really hurt my back so stoped ridding. Iv just bought a new horse and just started ridding again but my back is hurting again. I went to the docs and we think i might of fractured it any advice on what to do as i was just given pain killers

You should get digital x-ray of affected part of back don in AP and Lateral view done. Send it to me I will tell you form the x-ray that whether your any vertebrae is fracture or not or there is just a soft tissue injury.
