Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am a young woman who has skipped two periods (last year when this happened my doctor at the time said it was due to stress and I just needed to relax...and when I finally did I got my period!) and just got my first period (since November) last week. Finished on Thursday night/Friday morning (02/09-10/2017). I was wondering if there s anyway that you can tell me when I m ovulating. I did check my cervical mucus/vaginal discharge whatever is politically correct...and it is clear, it is slightly like egg whites and a mixture of water. It s thin. No smell...am I ovulating? And if so if I had unprotected sex...is it possible to become pregnant this week? Or am I okay?
Based on the history you have shared, generally, an exact day of ovulation is said to be 14 days before onset of menstruation. Otherwise no accurate means to measure that.
Basal body temperature may fluctuate a degree and it's also followed as a method to know about ovulation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
