How Can One Go About Draining A Hydrocele On The Left Testicle That Is Leading To Pain And Discomfort?
I had a ultrasound done on my scrotum about a month ago. Went to see the nurse practitioner yesterday. She said I have a hydrocele on the left and that is what is causing my pain and discomfort. She told me to roll up a towel and place it under the scrotum so it will lift it and help drain it. I don t see how that is possible and comfortable. What should I do next?
I do not think, that just rolling a towel under the scrotum can help in draining the hydrocele. Definitely, scrotal support may help in relief in pain for a short period to some extent. But for draining the hydrocele, definitely removal of the fluid, will need surgical procedure. However in small hydrocele, it can be drained thru small incisions and in very small fluid collections, it can be drained by needle pricking etc. Hence I advise you to consult a surgeon and treatment may be done as advised by him.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
