Need Insight On Hydrocele In The Testicle?

My son is eleven months old and has hydrocele over his left testicle. The paediatric surgeon suggested we monitor the hydrocele and go for a follow up meeting every three months. The hydrocele hasn't grown in size however is there a possibility for it to disappear before he turns two?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question. Hydroceles are uncommon. They are frequently seen in the first year of life the overwhelming majority will resolve on its own within the first 3 years of life. As long as it is not causing him any pain, and it is not increasing in size, it is perfectly reasonable to observe. I agree with your urologist's assessment would comply with follow up every 3 months.
