Hello,
You are experiencing white discharge from the vagina, it is odorless. You are having recurrent infection that is making you uncomfortable. Yeast infection is odorless while
bacterial vaginosis has a fishy smelling odor. Yeast infection may be indicative of
uncontrolled diabetes while BV can increase your chances of getting sexually transmitted diseases like
gonorrhea or chlamydia, etc.
You are suggested to take care of your hygiene, take bath regularly, avoid using public washrooms or public toilets. Wear soft cotton clothes and if sexually active, avoid multiple partners and always go for protected sex. Get a
urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done to rule out UTI, get STD tests done to be on the safer side and to rule out sexually transmitted diseases. You will be accordingly treated.
Your symptoms are indicative of yeast infection. Since you are getting recurrent infection, it may take time to get well as it is indicative that you have a weakened immune system. You are suggested to take a course of antifungal medicines orally,
fluconazole (it is not recommended if you are pregnant). Since the infection is resistant, you can repeat the dose after a gap of 15 days. Apply antifungal medications available as creams,
ointments and vaginal suppositories like
miconazole (Monistat 3) in the vagina at bed time on every alternate day. Your symptoms should get reduced.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
