Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am 19 yrs old and 5 5 , 145lbs. I was born prematurely, weighing in at 6lbs 14oz and only 19in long. I am of Native American Indian and Hispanic descent. Most men in my family are, or taller than, 5 10 . I want to take HGH to increase my height. Would I be eligible to be prescribed HGH? Are there any prerequisites that make someone eligible to take HGH? Are there more effective ways to increase my height? How much would I be able to grow until I reach skeletal maturity?
You are on verge of attaining skeletal maturity and it's time not to delay treatment anymore however before that detailed pituitary functions and hormonal profile may be needed alongside endocrinologist opinion before pursuing for it. Physical and fitness exercises and stretch training under supervision is recommended. Any further delay will make treatment response difficult.
