How Can Oral Candidiasis Be Treated?

Thanks . I am suffering from oral candidiasis for 6 years .But not covering all tongue and mouth . I am free from HIV and diabetes. I have moderate abdominal discomfort like bloating.No nausea and vomiting. What it could be? Could it be cancer? What is its treatment please ?Thanks .

Thanks for the query..

Oral Thrush can occur due to a number of causes like dry mouth, long term intake of steroids [oral and inhalers], hormonal imbalance etc..

So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Pathologist first and get evaluated so that the underlying cause is ruled out..

You can be advised a course of antifungal medications like Nystatin Mouthwash, Clotrimazole lozenges and oral medicines like Fluconazole..

In case if still does not improve then medicines to treat resistance cases like Amphotericin B can be advised.
Also clean your tongue regularly with tongue scraper..
