General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In osteoporosis chance of bone fracture is high. Hence take prescribed calcium and vitamin D combination drug. You also can be prescribed alendronate like bisphosphonate group drug which decreases osteolysis (bone breakage). Take rest. Take these drugs as prescribed by your doctor

Selective estrogen receptor modulator drug can be useful. Consult orthopedic surgeon for examination and further work-up accordingly and get your prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
