How Can Ovulation Be Induced In Patients With PCOD?

How can ovulation be induced in patients with PCOD? My doctor says my ovaries are dumb and are not producing the egg. I really want to become pregnancy asap.

To become pregnant, women with PCOD may need a medication to trigger ovulation. Clomiphene is an oral anti-estrogen medication that is taken in the first part of menstrual cycle. If clomiphene alone isn't effective, then metformin will be added to help trigger ovulation. The clomiphene is significantly more effective at helping women conceive than was metformin alone. About 80 percent of women are able to conceive using clomiphene, and it's estimated that 50 percent of women taking clomiphene have a baby. If one doesn?t become pregnant using clomiphene and metforminthen it made be recommend using gonadotropin follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) medications that are administered by injection. Because many women with PCOS have elevated levels of LH, it might be recommend treatment with FSH alone. With clomiphene or gonadotropin, the risk of multiple births twins or more is increased.
