I had a tooth extracted 2 weeks and it doesn't seem to be healing. I am in pain and can only eat broth and pudding. I bought some Aura Cacia Clove essential oil but when I got home I noticed it said not for internal use. Can I still use it just not swallow it?

Infection of tooth socket means dry socket in dental terminology lead to pain and no swelling. Consult your dentist for oral examination and further treatment. Right now for pain relief you can take a painkiller. That give temporary relief. Star a treatment according to cause. Avoid citrus foods and avoid more sweat. Consult a dentist for further diagnosis.

As per your query about treatment of pain after a tooth being extracted is intake of painkillers and antibiotics. After a tooth is being extracted pain killers like ibuprofen along with antibiotics are prescribed for 5 to 7 days to promote healing and prevent any infection but if the pain is persisting even after 2 weeks suggest that the extraction site has not healed up properly.
It would be advisable to consult the dentist back about the complain and have its evaluation to know the cause of pain. I also suggest you to get an x-ray of the extraction site done to be ensure that anything is not left behind.
Clove oil will not be much effective in this type of wound and works very mildly. If you are a diabetic person wound healing can be affected so it should be checked. For the time being you can take ibuprofen tablet to ease of the pain.
I hope the information helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
