I have pain and some discharge from my left ear for several months. I have been to my GP, but she did not see anything to worrry about. I still worry, because it still occurs and still bothers me. Oh, ps what country are you in; i.e. Here did you train?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your ear infection.

It seems to me that you have chronic middle ear infection. Because of that you may have perforated the ear drum too.

Continue discharge from ear can lead to permanent damage to your middle ear and some sort of listening compromise.

You need to visit a ENT specialist for further evaluation and antibiotics for a week or two too.

Avoid any sort of fluids to enter into your ears, while having a shower plug your ears with cotton. Don't put any type of ear drops into it till you get one from ENT specialist.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further queries.

Regards
