How Can Pain And Discomfort In The Shoulder Be Treated?

I have a prob with my shoulder for the last 8 weeks . I had a cortisone injection a month ago and due to have another one next week. My physio has given me exercises to do and are due back to him again in 10 days time to give me more stretch exercises which given time will hopefully cure my aching shoulder and neck to a lesser degree Do you have any words of wisdom as it s very debilitating. Hi,

I had gone through your case and I understand your concern.your case seems to be a case of frozen shoulder or shoulder joint arthritis.cortisone injections are basically given to reduce the inflammation in the joint and they are also helpful in lowering the pain.

If you had visited my clinic I would have definitely suggest you a x-ray and maybe an MRI shoulder joint to make a perfect diagnosis and should have started your treatment accordingly.

According to my opinion Physiotherapy is the best treatment for such ailments you please continue with your Physiotherapist and ask your doctor about the benefits and disadvantages of steroid injections if he can opt for something else that would be of much help.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
