Firstly, I would like to know the reason of the gastritis you are having. Are you taking NSAIDS, consuming large amounts of alcohol, taking spicy foods, going on empty stomach for long periods of time?. Do you have stress? Have you been diagnosed as having peptic ulcer?. These are the common causes of gastritis. If so, the root cause must be addressed, and the stomach inflammation should resolve. It would be good if you were to get an abdominal ultrasound test done to rule out chronic pancreatitis. This usually leads to pain radiating to the back. It would be best to consult a gastroenterologist, who could advise necessary investigations including an upper GI endoscopy, diagnose your condition and advise you on the appropriate management.
